Too much control😡😡😡
🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in North Carolina after an HOA just DOUBLED monthly fees to **$2,500/MONTH** for homeowners who were paying just $158/month just five years ago...
...and the homeowners say the HOA board tried to charge homeowners $7,500/MONTH JUST IN HOA FEES!!!!!!!
On Monday night, the board backed off $7,500...
...but voted to DOUBLE fees to $2,500 a month instead.
Yes, $30,000 a year just to LIVE IN YOUR HOME THAT YOU BOUGHT.
Nearly SIXTEEN TIMES what families were paying a few years ago.
Families who bought what they thought were their forever homes are now being told to pay $30,000 a year in HOA fees, or GO INTO FORECLOSURE!!!!!!
The neighborhood is Magnolia Cove in Sherrills Ford, Catawba County NC.
Jill Menson and her husband bought their house believing it would be their LAST home and five years ago, their HOA fee was $158 a month.
This summer it shot up to more than $1,200.
Plus a $10,000 ASSESSMENT on top of that.
On Monday night, the HOA board voted to raise fees AGAIN, from $1,250 to $2,500 a month.
That’s nearly SIXTEEN TIMES what they paid five years ago.
And the meeting?
It was held over ZOOM.
Menson says they’ll be forced out with nowhere to go, because no one will buy a house carrying fees like that.
So they went to the state for help.
The North Carolina Attorney General’s office told Channel 9 there are NO STATUTES limiting how much an HOA can charge.
None.
As long as the board follows its own documents, it can charge whatever it wants.
In Jill Menson’s words:
“Nobody is helping us.”
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!

🥎 RECRUITING UPDATE - CLASS OF 2027 LHP 🥎
I am officially reopening my recruitment and looking for the right opportunity to continue my academic and softball career at the collegiate level!
Due to the NCAA 5-for-5 eligibility rule, my commitment to the University of Missouri will no longer move forward. While this is not how I envisioned my recruiting journey, I am staying positive, trusting the process, and excited for the opportunity to find a program that is the right fit for me.
I am actively looking for a program where I can continue to develop academically and athletically. Missouri Head Coach @CoachLarissaA has graciously offered to serve as a reference. And said that you can reach out to her with questions about me.
Additionally, you can contact my travel coach Kevin O’ Donnell (732-685-8956) with any questions as well.
Coaches, I would love the opportunity to connect! Please feel free to reach out.

NEWS: Texas has quietly shoved more than 1.2 million voters — over 6% of its rolls — onto the "suspense list" heading into a midterm the GOP is terrified of losing, and most of those people won't find out until they're standing at a polling place in November. Check your registration before October 5, because they're purging the rolls to save Ken Paxton.

“Fearless means you have an insane level of confidence.”
A fascinating statement from Troy Coach Skylar Meade on why he uses the term ‘fearless’ to describe @TroyTrojansBSB’s culture.
“Nobody that’s fearless is shaking on the edge of the cliff before they jump… they’re standing there saying, ‘I’m about to jump,’ and they don’t care. And I think our guys, once they realize how to do that individually and collectively, that’s why we are where we are.”

🚨WOW: West Elementary School in Alabama has become the first in the United States to install ballistic pods in classrooms.
The $60,000 rapid-deployment room sits in the corner of each classroom and can expand in just 10 seconds to create a bullet-resistant shelter for students and staff. It’s designed to protect against active shooters as well as severe weather events like tornadoes.
Is this needed in every school?
We installed one battery on our house and our bill has dropped from high $400 to low $200👍🏽

😤Mowed 'em down.
Incredible stuff tonight from Savion Sims (@SavionSims12) in front of @FiveToolTexas. The RHP ran it up to 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ multiple times and racked up 10 punch outs in 3 innings of work. Allowed just one infield hit and an unearned run. Dominated with the fastball, spun a hard slider and faded the changeup to mix up looks.
