The best thing I’ve heard on help defense came from @kevineastman “Be there before you need to be there.” Too many times helpside is ineffective because it’s late arriving. In fact, if help is already where it’s supposed to be it will often deter drive and cuts from happening.

Golden State is a powerful example of what can be achieved when players collectively buy into their roles. No star brighter than another but different players stepping up at critical times.
Great 1st week of practice by our young men. They continued to work with a 30 minute bus ride 1 way to practice each day. Hopefully their drive to continue to get better stays high. Also thanks to my staff who is also extra strained from all of this. Long bus rides, late nights are the norm for these guys.

Anyone with suggestions for a stand alone camera that can travel and do all the work on it's on please give suggestions. We aren't blessed financially in fact quite the opposite with our gym being destroyed by hurricane Iseaes. We normally film all games AND ALL PRACTICES. We have no home gym for either one so we need something that can easily be packed up to travel. We use Hudl but may not be able to afford renewal since other sports who went in with us to split the costs seasons are basically over so they want to wait until later to spend that money. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.

2. Do what's right (if you can't do it in front of me or your parents, don't do it)

I've now seen 2 separate polls and neither of them had @CowleyHoops in the top 25. I guess I just don't know what to look for in the pre season scrimmages online. Not only would I have them in the top 25 I would have them in the top 5. We'll see how this post ages.

So very true!!!! Always learning, always evolving. One of my dad's favorite sayings (he has a bunch of them) was you can't teach what you don't know. Holds true for every sport.

Great stuff!!! Not a super great athlete comparatively. Gives to the masses someone they can actually strive to be like.
Most would be excited about seeing SGA and KD going at each other (we were too). However, my son and I were most excited about seeing star rookie Bennett Stirtz check in last night.
Stirtz is so smooth, so good, and he publicly gives glory to God while putting his faith in Jesus. He is an incredible role model for children and beyond.
