Pops always used to tell me….if u load up, and I can see both the numbers on ur back, from the centerfield camera on tv, I’m pretty sure that ur struggling. Reasoning? Over rotation with ur load, causes u to be long and slow. There is a fine line to walk. We preach to load, load, load, but sometimes it goes to an extreme. This young fella is doing just that! Good little swing. Mechanics look pretty solid. This may be as simple as tightening up his set up. Sometimes u start with such an open stance, that u over rotate to get back to what u think is square. As far as the bat wrap….it’s not that bad and squaring him up at address with a little less shoulder turn, could correct both problems. Hope this helps….. P.S.- love his work out shoes!
