Commitment Alert
2027 Tyson Thompson has committed to Jacksonville
#PhenomHoops
Thompson brings tremendous physicality to the court, bringing a college-ready frame. Strong finisher in the paint, physical on the glass, and brings a presence down in the paint.

Jacksonville is getting an intriguing frontcourt piece in 6’10 2027 Tyson Thompson. (@TThom3342)
His combination of size and mobility allows him to run the floor, establish himself around the rim, and provide a consistent presence on the glass. He finishes well around the basket, uses his length defensively, and still has plenty of room to expand his offensive game.
A lot to work with long term for the Dolphins.

Tyson Thompson | 6'9" | C | Wesleyan Christian (NC) | Garner Road
Thompson was solid all week for a talented Garner Road squad, consistently providing a physical presence in the paint. He has a college ready frame, plays with a relentless motor, and does an excellent job finishing dump offs and scoring around the basket. Thompson rebounded at a high level, creating extra possessions with his toughness and effort. Defensively, he battles in the post, & used his length to alter shots. College coaches looking for a high motor, physical interior presence who rebounds, defends, and impacts winning should have Tyson Thompson on their recruiting board.

6’10 2027 Tyson Thompson (Wesleyan Christian) should be a closely monitored big for mid-majors. (@TThom3342)
Thompson is a long, mobile frontcourt prospect who runs the floor well, protects the rim, rebounds with purpose, and plays with constant aggression. Plays more assertively every showing, and continues to expand his game.
Notable offers: Iona, Jacksonville, Boston University, WCU, CCU, UNCC
