Former college football coach Nick Saban reveals how Bill Belichick's offseason projects led him to secretly scout the LSU job and send Ms. Terry to inspect the facilities "The only reason I was interested in the LSU job, I think I should give you the background on this, is Belichick made us do all these crazy projects in the offseason." "And one of them was, where do the most, what state does the most players come from in the NFL per capita? Not where the most players come from. Per capita, it was Louisiana." "So the reason I was interested from that, from that, I was saying Louisiana must have a lot of players, and there's only one school, LSU." "So I couldn't go for an interview at LSU, so I sent Miss Terry." "So she calls me on the phone, I said, 'Well, what do you think of the place?' And she said, 'Well, they don't have very good facilities, the stadium's old, needs a lot of work, coach's offices are bad. You got to get on a bus to go to practice, cross railroad tracks.'" "But she said, 'I went in the weight room, they got some damn good-looking players.'" "And that's why you went! So that's why we went."
