I've watched incredibly talented baseball players never reach their potential. I've watched overlooked players become college stars. I've watched early bloomers plateau and late bloomers explode. After years of evaluating players, one thing has become crystal clear: Development is NOT linear. A 15-year-old's struggles don't define his future. A 16-year-old's lack of opportunities doesn't define his ceiling. And a 17-year-old's setbacks don't determine how his story ends. Talent matters. Exposure matters. Opportunity matters. But so do patience, development, work ethic, and perseverance. The biggest mistake players make in baseball is deciding what they CAN'T become before they've had the chance to show themselves what they CAN. Never stop believing. 🙌⚾️
