Couldn’t have scripted the first game of my dream coaching job (OC @ my Alma Mater) any better
Can’t thank those enough who have helped me along the way … especially those on Football Twitter/X

Somewhere tonight, a parent watched their son walk off a football field for the last time.
And for a moment, they probably saw the little boy who needed help buckling his chinstrap.
Those years go fast.
Thinking of the families taking that ride home tonight.

Highly recommend @TwoMinuteDrill0 to any Coach or Fan
Simulates the “randomness” and matchups of gameday
… and humble brag now that I learned how to play feels good to see that 99% win percentage
Also for whatever reason I tend to call plays like the Matt Ryan era Mike Smith
By far one of the coolest apps/games I’ve ever seen
Think you can coach a game better than an NFL Head Coach?
Prove it with my new app.

Food for thought.
The divorce rate among college and NFL coaches is estimated at 60 to 70 percent.
Joshua Eargle has coached 23 years. Five FBS bowl games. Thirteen players to the NFL. His wife, Kristen, has moved with him through 14 programs. One of their children, Landrey, has had 23 hospitalizations and needs around-the-clock care.
They have been with programs where the kids weren't welcome at the office. Their children went several days without seeing their father.
Now Eargle is building the first football program at Texas A&M-Texarkana. He hung a motto on it: "All families. All the time. Always welcome."
When a coach gets the job, his family gets the lifestyle. Nobody asks them first.

Btw, for all you “bring the fullback back” football guys.
The fullback is back in football. It’s just a TE at 6’5, 240 instead of a bulldozer at 6’1, 245.
Seeing more I formation this year from great teams than the previous 7 years doing this combined.
It’s back.

I'm blown away at how many people talk about football and don't know anything about football.

Love this & exactly what I talked with TL about this week! They do a lot more defender read concepts - even if it’s called “pure progression”! And again I use the term “pure progression” in its purest form, if you are reading coverages and eliminating things based on it, that is full-field/defender read stuff, which is what I believe in!
Gents, I was Liam Coen's starting Quarterback at the University of Maine.
Although we installed "Pure Progression" Pass plays, I was never taught to just read 1, 2,3,4. I was always taught to read coverage and have my answers. I was never left to guess through a progression. It was always who can I eliminate now, where is the weak spot in the zone, who is the conflict defender, where is my best matchup, where is my hot, and simplifying the progression. We knew the coverages week in and week out, which led us to making faster/easier decisions on the field.
Hope you guys can meet in the middle with this ha ha

0.1% of people know anything about Offensive Line Play.
Don't waste your time arguing with the other 99.9% of people.
But, when the 0.1% speaks... listen & learn.

Jameis Winston operates his Giants offense 10X better from the shotgun and with tempo/hurry up. The Giants should be a shotgun team if Winston is the QB moving forward. Forget what they wanted it to look like with Dart. The OL can’t run block. Regardless of Roman. Lean into spread, shotgun, and let Nabers/Likely cook 80-85% of their matchups.

Cignetti is such a film junkie.
Coaching may be the only profession you see something you love, steal it, sit on it for 5-6 years, then install it for a huge moment to see it hit.
