Men are so private online. A guy could be moving to another country or having his first child, and heβd still only post a random football score on his story.

If your 16-18 YO athlete isnβt willing to wake up 15-min earlier to eat breakfast they really donβt care about getting stronger or improving as an athlete.
You won't earn that D1 scholarship or starting position with an attitude consistent with Intramural sports.
Seriously, if you have a student athlete under your roof who has a phone, spends > 5 hours/day social media, goes to specialized training, plays multiple sports that YOU as a parent or guardian spends thousands of dollars on annually they should absolutely be able to prioritize their nutrition and sleep.
Donβt be your kidβs friend, be their parent. Encourage them to pack snacks, make their breakfasts the night before, build a routine that is centered around supporting the life they want to live.
Kids NEED routine, structure, discipline, and guidance. They will be glad they had leadership who encouraged them to care for their body.
Thereβs a lot of hard working athletes out there hungry to get better and will EASILY outperform those with a bad attitude and poor habits. Poor habits like staying up late, on phones for hours a day, skipping meals, drinking energy drinks, eating candy and chips as meals, and flat out showing up to training under-fueled giving 50% effort.
If you want your kid to be strong and successful lead by example. Meal prep as a family, get to bed early and pack H20 bottles . These are simple and basic things for GOOD health.
If you really want to be great you need to do the basics. If you canβt do the basics you really donβt care about being great.
No one accidentally shows up to the championship game or succeeds in life by accident. Discipline, structure, and life skills need to be taught early on in life! π―

Father God, Iβm grateful for another morning, for the breath in my lungs, and the gift of another day. Please walk with me, guide me by the Holy Spirit, and keep me close to You. Let Your peace fill me, so I can carry Your love in every word, every action. I give You my plans, my hopes, and my dreams. Let Your will be done in my life. Forgive my mistakes, and lead me in Your grace today. Cover my loved ones, strengthen the hurting, and comfort those who feel lost. In Jesus Name, amen.

A 20-year study found women who regularly cleaned their homes lost lung function equivalent to smoking 20 cigarettes a day.
Yes β 20 cigarettes a day worth of damage, and only in women. Men showed no comparable decline. Why the huge gender gap?
Women use far more cleaning sprays, disinfectants, air fresheners, scented detergents, candles, and fragrance-loaded products β all containing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and irritants that aerosolize and get inhaled deeply into the lungs.
Science nugget: The study (published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 2018, based on the long-running European Community Respiratory Health Survey) tracked lung function (FEV1 and FVC) over 20 years in thousands of participants. Women who cleaned regularly (weekly or more) had accelerated lung function decline comparable to ~20 pack-years of smoking. No similar effect was seen in men, likely due to lower exposure to household cleaning chemicals.
The fix is simple and cheap: Switch to non-toxic alternatives β vinegar + water, baking soda, castile soap, hydrogen peroxide.
Ditch the scented sprays, "fresh linen" plug-ins, and harsh chemical cleaners.
Your lungs donβt regenerate like your liver. Damage accumulates for life.
You wouldnβt smoke a pack a day.
Why clean like you do?
Whoβs switching their cleaning routine after this?
