“Any great player wants to be coached hard.
Coaches take players to levels they can’t take themselves.
What great player doesn’t want to be coached hard?”
Being coachable means caring more about getting better than being right.

Really looking forward to seeing what DeWayne Brown II can do in Year 2 at Tennessee.
At 6’8”, 250, Brown is a physical specimen who uses his strength to carve out position, attack the glass and set rock-solid screens.
But the flashes beyond the physicality are what really intrigue me.
He moves well defensively, consistently slides into the right help positions to wall up or challenge shots, and showed encouraging touch out of the short roll as both a scorer and playmaker.
4.8 PPG | 3.6 RPG in 14.7 MPG as a freshman.
Year 2 should be fun.

It’s not easy to play for winning coaches. They’ll hold you accountable, push you beyond your comfort zone, demand excellence, and expect you to respond when things get hard. There will be days when you’re frustrated, uncomfortable, and challenged.
But for the athletes who are willing to embrace it, it’s worth it. Winning programs aren’t built by avoiding adversity - they’re built by learning how to overcome it.

Less sayings FOR your Players.
More sweating WITH your Players !
Seriously. They can get the sayings reading the locker room signs or On-Line.
They can watch motivational tapes later.
Get them better by being INVOLVED and INVESTED in it with them.

When Leah finally had her fourth son, she named him Judah, which means “praise.” But it comes from the Hebrew word yadah, which means “to lift one’s hands” AND “to throw something away.”
Leah was saying, “I am throwing away the need for Jacob to validate me. I am throwing away
the pain and the anxious attachment. I am letting it go.” What do you need to throw away today? The need to be liked? The desire to impress people? The fear that you aren’t valuable? Lift your hands to God, and throw those burdens away. 🙌🏽
