Years ago a young coach told me about his 3, 5 and 10 year plan. Sounded good and I asked “what if God adjusts it?” He answered “Huh?” Get ready He has plans to use you through the good and bad!
Lead with (God’s) heart!

Compromising coaches self promote, they recruit, they have mixed standards, they don’t develop players or people. They are said to be transactional not transformational!(tell you what you want to hear!)

The greatest coaches:
-know the game
-create a learning environment
-hold the player/team accountable
-teach competitive effort
-care about players hearts
That’s at every level,including AAU.
Compromising coaches may do some of these things but don’t attempt to do all.

When did individual statistics take precedence in all star selections? Short time ago team success, difficulty of schedule&all around performance were considered. Once had an allstater help guide team to 2 Final 4while averaging 10ppg. Def.,Reb&ball handling matter! To all media!
