Green Hope just added a first-round postseason victory to its 8-2 regular-season record that goes down as one of the great rebuild stories in recent Wake County football history.
The Falcons, playing at home as the No. 5 seed, defeated Willow Spring 49-17 on Friday in the first round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 8A playoffs. Just two years ago Green Hope finished 0-10 in coach Mitch Johnson’s first season. Johnson had inherited a program that had gone 7-20 the previous three years.
Now the Falcons have a playoff win under their belt.

"The standard creates the culture." @ChristianYelich
When coaches enforce it, it's a rule.
When players own it, it's a standard.
When everyone lives it, it's a culture.
Culture isn't built by what you preach.
It's built by what you practice.
