MAYFIELD KY! Let’s Gooo!
The first steps through these doors represent the beginning of something bigger. A place to work, grow, compete, and chase dreams together.
More than a new facility. Another chapter in the beautiful tradition of Mayfield Football!

People don’t understand the sacrifices it takes to get a kid in college now days. Especially because high school kids are not a priority any longer. It takes strong relationships to real it in and get the kids scholarships or opportunity at all. Some people really have 0 clue.
Kevin Willard admits he isn't recruiting any high school players this year 👀
"We're not recruiting a high school kid this year... just because of the fifth-year rule. We have six guys that can come back for a fifth year. So, I'd much rather have one of my players come back, than bring in a high school kid"

Tom Izzo shares an uncomfortable truth about earning your spot.
"You play real good, you start. You don't play as good, you work your way back in."
"That's the American way - except America has gotten soft."
You don't get what you want in life - you get what you earn.
It starts with showing up and earning it every single day.
No shortcuts...Just hard work.

For players about to start their season: how do you show the team you're all in? On the defensive end!

There's an old African proverb:
Every morning, a gazelle wakes up knowing it must run faster than the lion, or it will die.
Every morning, a lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter if you're the lion or the gazelle.
When the sun comes up, you'd better be running.
Life doesn't reward those who sit idle. Whether you're chasing a dream or fighting to survive, motion is non-negotiable.
Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Stop waiting for permission. The sun is up. Start running.
