As "Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool" airs on Netflix, we’re taking a look back at Mr. T’s work with President and Mrs. Reagan, his now-iconic 1983 White House visit dressed as Santa Claus, and his commitment to giving back. Mr. T became an important part of Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” campaign, using his platform to encourage young people to stay away from drugs and make positive choices. His work with Mrs. Reagan on the campaign was, in his own words, “the highlight of my career.” Mr. T didn’t just talk the talk. While filming "Rocky III," he sought out homeless shelters to bring food, clothes, and other items to people in need. He was part of the Midnight Mission where he prayed and spoke with those he met through it. We’re proud to celebrate Mr. T not only as an ’80s icon, but as someone who used his platform to serve the community.
