Actual conversation basically with kids from 3 different schools over last week 🤦♂️🤦♂️ Dudes play non stop for 10 months a year. So let’s “get in shape” now 🤦♂️

Riley can play corner or safety and has wr experience as well. Solid academically and always shows up when it’s time to work. #RecruitTheH

SOME OF MY WORST COACHING DECISIONS CAME FROM THINKING I WAS RIGHT.
Changed a scheme. Adjusted a philosophy. Listened to an assistant.
Sometimes the biggest adjustment isn’t on the field. It’s checking your own ego.
Coaches, what’s ONE thing you believed early in your career that you completely disagree with today? ⚓️
Peyton manning was just talking about same things look different different things look the same from an offensive perspective. Offense or defense it’s an elite philosophy @CoachCHall @CoachR_Lewis

I never understood going for 2 before you absolutely need to. If you don’t get it then it’s still a 2 possession game.

Conditioning is a myth. Get fast instead.

How rare was what happened at the end of Indiana–Minnesota?
Before that game, there had never been an NCAA or NFL game in which both teams made a field goal of 60 yards or longer in the final 30 seconds of regulation.
First time in the history of the sport of football.

Sacks should count against passing yards.
A QB Kneel should not be negative rush yards if they QB goes down right away.
We need to stop taking away rushing yardage.

While covering a high school football game last night I caught myself standing next to a D1 Dline coach who was watching a commit. The other team had a lineman having a heck of game. I watched the coach pull out his phone and make a call…
“Do we have film on this kid? I really like him and may want to offer.”
Remember someone is always watching and all it may take is one series.

"The standard creates the culture." @ChristianYelich
When coaches enforce it, it's a rule.
When players own it, it's a standard.
When everyone lives it, it's a culture.
Culture isn't built by what you preach.
It's built by what you practice.

Georgia has cut post-practice walk-throughs and shortened its week, and Kirby Smart says the meeting room is a point of emphasis.
Worth a read for any staff considering changes to their in-season schedule.
