So in what has clearly become the world’s largest Former democracy,
Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka are still in jail… for simply unfurling the 🇮🇳 in our national capital.
The regime surely has a problem with young Indians waving our national flag!
It’s absurd to even think that such a thing might happen in a free country!
Nonetheless, we will fight to reclaim our democracy from the regime.

Even trespassing doesn’t get you a judicial custody for 5 days, extended by 2 more days.
CJP spokesperson’s @SauravDassss and @AshutoshRanka jailed for unfurling a tiranga our Indian National Flag shows how the Indian law is different for different people. So let’s not ever think that the law is equal for all. There is a precedent being set in India by making examples out of these two boys for mocking the government’s tactics to handle protests.

Do I agree with everything he says or does? Not at all, but I'd like to discuss the disagreements over coffee.
But he's much braver than me for doing what he's doing.
Thinking of @SauravDassss today. Always meets with a smile- has a cosy life in Delhi; could've been out doing pandal-hopping like the rest of us but is in jail today for putting skin the game. Don't care about the details of his politics at this point, he's braver than most here.

Delhi Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) court extends CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka’s judicial custody by 2 days.
Das and Ranka have been in jail since October 14.

In the case of my dear friends, @AshutoshRanka and @SauravDassss , what hurts the most is how easily something can be labelled/presented as a “crime” when, for the people living through it, it feels like an attempt to silence, intimidate, and criminalise them.
The government may call it procedure. The system may call it law. But for those of us sitting in that room, it feels like our lives, our struggles, and our dignity are being reduced to files, orders, and cold, formal words.
I do not know yet what the outcome will be. But I know this: waiting for a verdict is not just a legal experience; it is an emotional one. It tests your patience, your faith, and your courage.
