Looking to do some web design in your BGE course? How about try EduBlocks @all_about_code or @CodeDragonApp Drag-n-drop code editor for HTML and CSS!
Two excellent tools!! 👏 definitely worth a look.
#choosecomputingscience
If you load the EduBlocks, you'll now get a prompt to try the new version (4.0)!
Hope this will help gather some feedback & find some bugs before I do a full release with some promotion etc.
There's still some features to work on but you can try it out staging.edublocks.org
CodeDdraig is expanding! We're currently in the process of looking for six new volunteers to help grow our community engagement, through writing new content for codedragon.org, assisting our users, or moderating our community. Share or apply now: forms.gle/wm2z2LqKePpPnc2S8
We're incredibly happy to announce that we've recently passed $100,000 in donations to Black Lives Matter causes! We're pleased to be supporting the cause in any way we can, and proud of our community for assisting us in this. Contribute at blacklives.help today.
Hi Grace, we'd be interested to hear more about this. We publish all of our account statements and even make our donation record spreadsheets public: blacklives.help/transparency. If you have any more concerns, our DMs are open!
Donate to @ukblm @BLMLA @Blklivesmatter #GeorgeFloyd @reclaimtheblock and more #BlackLivesMatter charities, and sign petitions for various causes for #PoliceReformNow and #BreonnaTaylor quickly and easily, all from one place. blacklives.help
In support of #BlackLivesMatter, we've launched blacklives.help. It allows for more intuitive, quicker donations from a central balance, with collected relevant causes and tiny minimum donations, with 0% commission. producthunt.com/posts/suppor… xitter.cf/CodeDragonApp/status/1…
At CodeDdraig, we stand in complete support with the #BlackLivesMatter movement and the associated demands for equality. That's why we're launching blacklives.help - a new donation platform to allow quicker, more natural donation to the causes that matter to you. (1/9)
The platform's completely free and available to use, both with an account or without, at blacklives.help. We developed this in two days after the recent events, so we've still don't have a complete list of all causes - but you can give feedback at [email protected] (9/9)
On the site, we've collected a list of causes from various sources, and we've tried to get a good range of projects. Our idea with blacklives.help was to make donation be quicker and more flexible, so we want to apply it to as many different initiatives as possible. (8/9)
Our foremost aim is to help people help the movement. That's why we're also offering 0% commission on donations, so all of the money that we receive will go straight to charities. Further, we have a minimum donation of just 50p (or 50c), and support USD, EUR and GBP cards. (7/9)
We think this system is incredibly useful when deciding which of the many causes - bail funds, family reliefs, protest fundraisers - you want to support. With money already in your blacklives.help balance, you can keep helping more charities without running out. (6/9)
This means that if you have $10 remaining on your blacklives.help account and choose to donate 50%, we'll give $5 to your charity of choice, and leaving $5 in your balance. The next time you choose to donate 50%, that will represent $2.50 of your balance. (5/9)
We then pass the chosen amount onto the chosen charity quickly from your balance, directly. Also, we've designed a new interface on blacklives.help for choosing your donation amount, based on fractions of your balance. (4/9)
Therefore, blacklives.help features a 'balance' system, where you can upload money to your account in one go, then spend it as you wish. When you want to donate to a charity, you can do so in a single click, as we already have the balance tracked and verified. (3/9)
blacklives.help was created to serve a couple of purposes to benefit those who either want to protest, or support those taking front-line action. Firstly, we wanted to create a way to donate more quickly and seamlessly, without having to stop for details each time. (2/9)

@w3c @timberners_lee Our aim as an organisation and as a website has always been based around promoting the education of web development. Today marks the 31st anniversary of the World Wide Web, without which the world would be entirely different. codedragon.org
Without the contribution of #WomenInSTEM, Computer Science would never have developed this far. 200 years ago Ada Lovelace created the field of programming, and without her work we couldn't have algorithms, or computers at all. #InternationalWomensDay codedragon.org
We're super excited to announce that we've just released translations of codedragon.org for all of our #Spanish #Portuguese and #Germany audiences! 🌎 Check out the amazing people who helped us with this project 👉codedragon.org/translations.
Our team will be at @geeksroomcic in #Leeds to do a #CoderDojo workshop about HTML and CSS tomorrow. Sign up (for free) if you're in the area: zen.coderdojo.com/events/f82…
