Here is Wally Schirra mounted on his Sigma 7 spacecraft for the second time after hours at @RocketCenterUSA, but in his classic silly Wally style. This photo was taken 20 years after his Mercury-Atlas 8 flight, the 5th crewed mission of the Mercury program.

🚀 Starship Space Program Alpha 0.2.4 is out!
This one rebuilds the game's foundations so Starship and Super Heavy fly the way the real ones do.
What's new:
• A new physics core: gravity from the Earth, Moon, Sun and planets, plus the Earth's true shape and spin
• Real Starbase winds from Brownsville weather-balloon data, with gusts
• Every Raptor started, shut down and throttled on its own, down to 40%
• Simulated tanks: boil-off, pressure, slosh and heating, with the balance point shifting as they drain
• An autopilot that flies countdown to orbit like Flights 13 & 14: max-Q, MECO, hot staging, booster flip and boostback
• A default flight to a 275 km orbit that deploys 26 Starlink V3s
• Countdown voice calls, a real night sky with the Milky Way, an updated Ship and the Pad 2 tower
It's not the full thing yet. Re-entry, landings and tower catches are being rebuilt for the new physics, and they're next.
📱 A mobile beta featuring the whole low-altitude test campaign is also coming this month on all mobile platforms.
