I’ve stayed super neutral on the ai “artist” discussion for a lot of reasons. That changes today.
Imagine listening to someone sing their heart out on a space, an original piece of work that is a story of their personal experience, and then taking that work, plugging it into suno and having the audacity to fucking post it and tag that artist in it.
Fuck you for real, go fucking fall off a cliff you fucking wanna be artist piece of garbage.

In a lot of ways, I’m appreciative of what happened the other night. I had grown too comfortable in this space and forgot how much thievery there is out there and how many people are just waiting for the opportunity to try to take something that is yours and make it theirs.
Luckily for me, I never play anything here that isn’t registered properly so, go ahead ya little larps, do your worst!
Just to clarify, idc really if you use ai to create things.
I care if you steal people’s original works, plug it into AI, and then call it something original.

Every musician wants to be a part of a project that “makes it” but the majority either have no idea what kind of commitment and work that takes to get there or they’re scared of making the commitment and failing.

Ok so 3 incidents in the last month with my current job without a single conversation from management. Schedule changed (lost an entire day in the schedule), pay changed (was sold as a promotion but hourly rate went down, and average pay stayed the same), and had a day added to my schedule at their other restaurant which I despise working at.
All without a single conversation (I’d be feeling differently with upfront conversations about any/all of these things).
What would you do?
I find that if you are spending every day pointing fingers at other people, you probably are avoiding some real truth's about yourself.
