Isabelle Adjani on why working with Andrzej Żuławski in 'Possession' (1981) was very tough:
"'Possession' (1981) is only the type of film you can do when you are young. He is a director that makes you sink into his world of darkness and his demons. It is okay when you are young, because you are excited to go there. His movies are very special, but they totally focus on women, as if they are lilies. It was quite an amazing film to do, but I got bruised, inside out. It was exciting to do. It was no bones broken, but it was like, “How or why did I do that?” I don’t think any other actress ever did two films with him."
(Isabelle Adjani's interview with Liza Foreman, The Playlist, 2016)
P.S: On this day, 45 years ago, "Possession" (1981) was released in France.

What’s the WORST line delivery in history?
IMO… this one from the blonde in ‘The House On Sorority Row’ 😬🖤

"...a fascinating slow burn that takes the time to get you invested in the complexities of our central character before exploring all the mysterious developments at hand. There is an undercurrent of dark humor throughout, but the thrills kick in when they are supposed to, ultimately leaving you with a sinking feeling that feels earned. @Shudder has released a Blu-Ray featuring a first-rate A/V presentation and a decent assortment of special features. Recommended": New review from @GeekVibesNation of THE DEAD THING 🩸

As you may have heard, “The Thing” has been added to the Library of Congress. We made the movie to push against the edges of what we could pull off, and it carries that strain in its bones. Seeing it now treated with the same care and reverence we had making it means a great deal to me and everyone who brought it to life.
I especially want to remember TK Carter, who brought heart and humor into that desolate, frozen place and should be standing here with us today sharing in this recognition.
Thank you to everyone who continues to keep it alive.

Fully in the bag of REFLECTION IN A DEAD DIAMOND. Every shot and cut more impecable than the last for a film that feels formally exhilarating in its sensory pleasures, while commenting on the fragmentation that occurs for performers caught between fiction and truth. Exquisite.

For @IndieWire, Jim Hemphill lists the "13 Must-Have Blu-rays and 4Ks for Cinephiles This Holiday Season," including our own 4K UHD of the Mitchell Brothers Film Group's BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR 💚 He writes, "there’s no denying that sibling filmmakers Artie and Jim Mitchell had a vision—and that vision is beautifully preserved on this stunning 4K restoration. This disc is worth getting just for the extras, which include an exceptional historical audio commentary by Marilyn Chambers’ biographer, Jared Stearns, and an illuminating documentary on the history of the Mitchell Brothers and their role in the porn scene of the 1970s. It’s just one of several superb new releases from @Melusine_X, a label that treats porno flicks like Criterion treats Orson Welles."
