"The most important thing in the world is to know Christ and to make Him known. The second most important thing, though, is to make sure you can do the first thing." - Charlie Kirk
One year ago today Charlie Kirk was assassinated for speaking truth in the public square. He was not angry, he was not unkind, but He spoke truth, and for that, he was killed.
Charlie's death has left a large wound in America, and he is missed every day.
We will never forget him.

True! Want to save money at the grocery? Don’t buy things in the center of the store (boxed/canned/frozen/processed/convenience items).
Buy fresh vegetables and chicken, a bit of dry rice, dry beans and you’ll save money and be healthier!

When a 10-year-old boy was caught in dangerous surf off the California coast, a 16-year-old lifeguard didn't hesitate—he ran toward the danger. God created men with a unique capacity for strength, courage, and self-sacrifice. Our job isn't to suppress those qualities, but to shape them into godly character that protects the vulnerable and serves others. God bless this young man for using his strength to save a life.

Hazor is one of the largest archeological sites in Israel at 200 acres, located about 10 miles north of the Sea of Galilee. Only a fraction of it has been excavated, and you can see in these photos we took the large mounds that are not natural “hills” but “tells” where earth is covering ruins of past civilizations just waiting to be uncovered, explored, and studied. Professor Amnon Ben-Tor showed us before he passed away recently the area where they expect a library could be found which be a major archaeological discovery that could provide a much clearer look back on history at both the Canaanite and Israeli people who lived here.
As I was reading in 1 Samuel 12 this morning, I came across Hazor again where Samuel is telling the people why they have gone wrong in demanding a king for themselves, even after God had so miraculously delivered them and cared for them in the past.
When you’re reading Scripture and come across a name of a real place in a real land where you can really go today, it illuminates your Bible reading in a way that cannot be matched any other way. It’s like when you read someone’s Facebook post about Destin and you’re like oh yeah, I know what that’s like— I’ve been there, or someone on the news says something happened at a Walmart at the corner of Main and 1st and you’re like ok, I know where that is…. The same familiarity comes to your Bible reading when you have walked through the hot and dusty lands of Israel like this spot in Hazor or dipped your toes into clear waterfalls in places like En Gedi where David hid himself in the cleft of the rock.
All this to say, I can hardly wait to return to the Holy Land again and to take Christians with us to have this life changing experience in the land of our faith. What an exhilarating adventure that we have the opportunity not only to explore what has been unearthed and what beautifully confirms and complements what we see in Scripture, but also to live in a time where new discoveries are still being made daily. Wow. Love it!

“…in politicks the middle way is none at all. If we finally fail in this great and glorious contest, it will be by bewildering ourselves in groping after this middle way.” - John Adams, 1776
After several defeats on the abortion issue yesterday, some may be tempted to say we need to find an even more middle ground approach— compromise more with Democrats, soften our stance, ask for fewer restrictions.
No. We will not win in the middle way.
And most importantly, the middle way is morally wrong.
We must stand strong for life and say what is true: God is the creator of life, and it is His place alone to determine its end. There is no right to kill another person, no matter how insignificant you think they are, how small, how unwanted, how inconvenient, how unable to speak in their own defense.
We are never going to succeed with a message that says abortion is horrendous, but we’ll acquiesce to a little bit of horrendous.
Nonsensical.
We must have a well-reasoned and strong stance that says abortion is murder, therefore, we do not abide someone being murdered for any reason, and we call for justice for those killed by taking the same laws that exist regarding the murder of born people and apply them to the murder of pre-born people. Either abortion is really bad and it should never be done, or it’s not bad and it should be done any time. Logic says there is no middle ground here.
At the end of the day, win or lose, I will stand with life. God authors it, God ends it.
We must not make moral decisions based on the likelihood of “success,” but on what is plainly right and wrong. This is a spiritual issue in our nation with the consciences of millions of people now dulled and diluted to such a point that they would vote for these measures and celebrate them with joy.
It is wrong to kill another person by choice, and we should extend that truth across the board in applying it to all appropriate instances of pre-meditated, intentional, ending of human life. The “mushy middle” has been appeased too long. No more. Stand for life.
