The real problem with the PT is that outside of the novelty of waiting for them to shove a slow roasted Anakin into a robot suit, the MAIN STORY of the trilogy has really nothing going for it than just signaling "oh yes, that will be the thing you like (soon)".

That said the "Barry but he acts like Wally" thing is truer for adaptations. CW Barry Allen for example can't decide which Flash he's supposed to be and will kind of go back and forth between the two, usually landing closer to Wally than Barry

Love Scott Snyder to death he's one of my favorite writers, but his Barry Allen on JL felt very much like Wally West to me, especially since Scott was using the DCAU lineup but with Barry being their Wally
