Proud to support the #HurricaneHelene Relief supply drive organized by @Greg_Tish, @AllisonTantFL, and Jimmy Goodman of the @LeonSheriff’s Office. Thanks to everyone who was able to stop by and donate food & supplies for Taylor/Madison Counties! #Helene #LeonReady #IHeartTally
#HurricaneHelene is hours away. If you live in the area, you MUST be hunkered down by now. Pray for no loss of life and minimal damage. After the storm, we will work together to help each other recover and rebuild. Stay safe everyone, and God bless! #LeonReady #Tallahassee
Construction is underway on the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency's #LakeJackson Greenway! Phase I should be completed in early 2025. #Blueprint #LakeJackson #LeonCounty #Tallahassee #LakeJacksonGreenway
Florida should become an SRC member so we can collaborate with the other Gulf states to bring passenger rail back through Tallahassee, Pensacola, Jacksonville and cities down south.
In Mobile, AL today, attending the Southern Rail Commission’s meeting. The SRC member states — AL, MS, and LA — are making REAL progress in establishing twice daily Amtrak service between New Orleans and Mobile. The route should be operational within the next year! 1/2
The newly repaired railroad crossing on Tower Road looks great! Thanks to @LeonCounty #PublicWorks staff for partnering with FL Gulf & Atlantic Railroad to get this done. See below for the photos I took on March 24th (before) and April 10th (after). – at Tallahassee, FL
Not only is #CoachMikeMartin the winningest NCAA coach, but he was the first to pass 2,000 wins. And they were all at FSU. When we met in his office during his last season, he was also the consummate gentleman. Rest in peace, Coach. Your legacy looms large. #GoNoles @FSUBaseball – at Tallahassee, FL
Thanks to @MyFDOT_NWFL, #NorthMonroe has 2 new sabal palms & 9 sky climber live oaks to go with the new curbing! Peanut grass, flax lily & coontie are coming, probably in as little as 2-3 weeks. Thx to @MyFDOT, @Blueprint_IA, & CRTPA for their work on Tallahassee's #1 Gateway!
Proud to be part of @BigBendCoC506’s first Point In Time (PIT) Count team of 2024! This week BigBendCoC staff and volunteers are conducting the annual PIT survey of homelessness, which will help us develop strategies for helping people transition into safe housing. #TallyPIT2024 – at Tallahassee, FL
