The “it’s the browns” line is too easy an excuse for a party that lost 7 points of White support between 2024-2026. White Americans remain a majority in this country and an even larger majority among voters. The GOP lost the midterms because it lost faith among White America.

St. Thomas, the Angelic Doctor of the Catholic Church, explains the danger of admitting foreigners too quickly to citizenship.
“For they were not at once admitted to citizenship: just as it was law with some nations that no one was deemed a citizen except after two or three generations, as the Philosopher says (Polit. iii, 1). The reason for this was that if foreigners were allowed to meddle with the affairs of a nation as soon as they settled down in its midst, many dangers might occur, since the foreigners not yet having the common good firmly at heart might attempt something hurtful to the people.”
This is sensible immigration policy that all Americans should support, especially Catholics.
