Compass Coffee Workers-Official

Compass Coffee United is sincerely grateful for the support and solidarity as we continue with our union effort. Our workers have communicated need for financial assistance due to severe hour cuts, we have set up a gofundme to help on a case-case basis. gofund.me/008decce

ahead of our election July 16th, Michael Haft continues to grasp any control over unionizing cafes.

Our election is July 16th!! We encourage all Compass Coffee workers to participate and vote for a better work environment for all. To cafes + departments not currently petitioning, we have resources for you! This election is just the first step, we hope to include all workers.

Compass Coffee has the $ but will not pay a living wage! Workers are forced to tell customers “the tip is included in the price”, but that is false. When workers did receive a raise, it was 25-50c, the only increase in wages for baristas since 2020. #realgoodunion

A statement from 1703 H St & 849 18th St NW

Michael Haft didn’t show to his own pizza party

Compass Coffee has opened their exclusive anual trip to all employees, just in time to miss our union election. This is a blatant attempt to remove voters from participating in our election on July 16th. You can email Chas Newman about this trip at [email protected]

A statement from unionizing cafe, Rosslyn, on the lack of A/C:

solidarity across unions and industry! This fight is bigger than us, Michael Haft & co are using @CompassCoffeeDC to illegally union bust. This is disrespectful to all workers- it is our right to organize! Thank you all for continual support!

Compass Coffee wants to hear from you! Best way to reach Michael is still in person at 849 18th St or 1703 H St NW!
