My Favorite band since I was 13. This one's hard. 😢
Frank Beard, ZZ Top‘s longtime drummer for the past 56 years, has died at 77.
ZZ Top founder Billy Gibbons said in a statement: “Today, Elwood [Francis] and I lost a great friend and collaborator, and the world lost one of the most naturally innovative drummers and a great and true son of Texas. His signature backbeat was key to keeping ZZ on top. The band of which he was part for six decades is going to keep on keeping on as he had wished.”
Just last week, ZZ Top abruptly canceled their performance at the Hollywood Bowl due to Beard’s health issues. Last year, Beard temporarily stepped away from touring for similar reasons.

South Park made this exact point about conspiracy theorists 20 years ago.
And it's more relevant than ever, especially with Candace Owens' cult and the Tyler Robinson case.
A small segment of the population finds more comfort in believing there's an all-powerful government secretly controlling everything than in accepting the reality that the world is often chaotic.
George W. Bush in the episode:
"People need to think we're all-powerful. That we control the world. If they knew we weren't behind 9/11, then it would appear we control nothing."
WATCH: @JeremyDBoreing explains why conspiracy theories feel better than the truth: Every rare event is a confluence of improbabilities the brain rejects.
"Much better to believe Israel is so powerful it can orchestrate anything… than that it's just the DMV all the way down."
