This summer I had the opportunity to coach the @OntarioBlueJays 16u team. With our season ending yesterday, I thought I would share some highlights of our summer in the thread below 🧵

Lotta kids worried about getting “seen” when all they are gonna “see” is your skin and bones physique struggle to hit the ball out of the infield

Most people will look at this LD DP & say bad luck unavoidable. IMO not the case. If Yandy reacts back on this low infield LD,like he should, NO DP. He had a short primary lead & took no secondary but was in go mode versus go back mode on LD contact.
Thank you to @ChattStTigersBB for having @OntarioBlueJays on campus for a scrimmage yesterday!
Lots of memories on that field, Coach Dennis continues to do a great job at Chatt State 🐅

You can’t time this vault steal any better than Taylor Walls does. Pitchers ARE creatures of habit.
Big Mike!
Has worked extremely hard & committed to development plan to become who he is today...
Still more to come from @MikeyBatiste 💪

What a baller Justice Hill is. 2019 draft class. Earned multiple contracts. Successfully returned post Achilles tear. Footwork out of this world. Special teams glue guy. Blocks his ass off. Zero drama. Fun Ravens story all these years later.

Rays OF defensive philosophy is to run first and adjust later - and it works. I wrote about this earlier in the year but didn't think to borrow this graph from Savant. Corey Dickerson used the same philosophy to transform himself from DH to Gold Glover draysbay.com/tampa-bay-rays-…

’28 OF Mikey Batiste (ON) gets the bat head out front and launches this ball over the RF fence for a grand slam from the left side. Physical frame with impressive bat speed and plenty of pop evident in the swing. #WWBAWorlds @pg_int1 @CPBLeague
