Thank you to all MPs and Peers who have worked to end live exports in Parliament for years. And to all the orgs, campaigners and public who have tirelessly worked to end this vile trade. GB is the first in Europe to ban live animal exports & we hope other countries will introduce their own bans
Article titled: ‘Sustainable’ farmed salmon is cannibalising the world’s wild fish’. ‘A five-year investigation has highlighted the ruinous cost of a global industry that is depleting sea life and fuelling food insecurity and ‘flat wrong’ to claim otherwise’

Millions of laying hens are crammed in cages on factory farms. Hens need space to forage, dust-bathe and spread their wings. We urge the government to turn its consultation into legislation. End cages for laying hens
We joined 9 animal protection organisations with one message for @Pret -show us the plan.
Pret committed to ending the use of Frankenchickens back in 2018. Last week we published an open letter to CEO Pano Christou, asking for a phased plan to deliver it, with verifiable steps starting next year. Swipe to hear from each signatory:

More than two years after Labour took office, there has still been no Government Bill to advance animal welfare at all. The government’s promises have yet to be matched by legislation. We call for the government to fulfil its commitments and take action to advance animal welfare. Actions speaker louder than words

Five years ago today, Sir David Amess was murdered while doing what he had done for almost 40 years: serving the people who elected him.
He never stopped showing up for them. On the day his life was taken, he was there once again, listening and helping, just as he always had.
Today we remember a much-loved colleague and friend. Above all, our thoughts are with his wife and children, who carry his loss every day.

Five years since Sir David Amess was brutally murdered while carrying out his duties as an elected politician, in a horrific attack on British democracy.
I shared Sir David’s love of animals (especially dogs!), and I have made a point of attending the Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation’s annual event at Conference every year in his memory, having first seen him speak there just a few weeks before his tragic death.
By all accounts, he was a dedicated politician and a genuinely lovely man.
I implore everyone to support @KatieAmess’ fight for justice for her dad.
Rest in peace🙏

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the darkest of days. My dad lifted his eyes to heaven and I am left down here to fight for him. I will never stop until I get answers. Please keep us in your prayers. #justiceforsirdavid
‘World’s longest animal welfare petition marched through London’. End the use of Frankenchickens. A 400m long petition was marched through central London streets and delivered to Pret A Manger’s head office today as 100,000 people pledge to boycott the chain after it broke its 2026 chicken welfare commitment. pressat.co.uk/releases/world…
