Congratulations to doctoral student Javier Lopez-Hernandez who defended his doctoral thesis yesterday! Javier worked on Pt(IV)-Au(I) anticancer agents, and synthesized many other compounds for our group. Well done doctor Lopez!

We really enjoyed the last BCCC-CURE/Chemistry Department seminar of the year on Friday Dec 8th by Dr. Guillermo Moreno Alcántar from the Technical University of Munich. Excellent talk on supramolecular metal-based materials and their medicinal applications. Very inspiring!
