What would you do? 1. Wait until I have ~35-40k cash to buy a Tesla outright? 2. Put ~20k down and finance the rest at 2.49% for 48 or 60 months?

Consumer sentiment is the worst it’s been since Biden was in office in 2022. What do we think people?

Am I the only bitcoiner that doesn’t quite believe that we will average a 30% CAGR?

I wouldn’t mind trading sideways the rest of the year and just DCA’ing into my positions. But, I think we’re headed much higher in November and December based on historical trends of midterm years 🔥 📈

$SOFI finally having an incredible day. It’s too bad I’ve sold my entire position. Maybe I’ll re-enter someday as these are still amazing prices to buy at. But $SOFI made me realize how hard individual stock investing can be!

“On this Day” series kickoff. On this day, October 27th, 1997 the U.S. market experienced its very first mandatory “circuit breaker” shutdown in its history. Due to the fallout of the Asian Financial Crisis, at 2:36pm EST, the Dow Jones dropped 350 points which triggered the first mandatory 30 minute trading halt ever implemented. At 3:30pm EST, after trading had resumed, the Dow dropped another 204 points totaling a 554 point loss on the day (-7.18%). This triggered a second threshold and Wall Street shut down 30 minutes early that day. These rules were in place following the “Black Monday” event of 1987 where it was ruled a 350 point loss would result in a pause, while a 550 point loss would result in a shutdown for the day. It has since been revamp to pause and shutdown based on certain percentage thresholds (7%, 13% and 20%). Did you know this piece of stock market history?

So what does a viral post get you these days? Day 1 was 475k impressions with 60k verified impressions. This moved my creator bar ~40k towards the 500k requirement to get monetized. Day 2 was 982k impressions with 137k verified. This moved my bar another ~80k towards the 500k requirement to get monetized. Gained over 200 followers over the two days and replied over 1,000 times. While this was an awesome two days, you can see that while one post really really helps progress, it’s not exactly “all it takes is one viral post”. We will continue to strive for monetization and simply the goal of growing and posting content I like to talk about!

Q4 of midterm years is historically the strongest cycle during a given presidency 4 year cycle. Since 1950, the S&P has averaged a +6.6% gain in the fourth quarter, meaning October-December of midterm election years. This is about double the average 3.4% gain that we typically see in Q4 of non-midterm years. Moreover, the market has finished positive in 16 of 19 midterm fourth quarters since 1950! Right now, there is a lot of fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) in the market. The relief rally that typically comes is due to more certainty after election results are finalized and plans become more clear. Volatility, like we are experiencing now almost always precedes this relief rally. The Q4 bottom of midterm years occurs in October nearly 60% of the time. From this October low, the median rally is often upwards of 10% by end of year. The key takeaway is that political clarity often acts as an upwards catalyst. I encourage all of you who have seen the market trade sideways and down lately to remember these trends! Are you going to panic sell or take advantage of this historical data?
