In collaboration with @Cooperation_RW the Gicumbi District, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Liberia, for an official learning and experience-sharing visit to Rwanda scheduled from 19–29 October 2026.
The delegation brings together senior officials from Liberia’s Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, county administrations, governance institutions and development partners, underscoring a shared commitment to strengthening decentralisation, public financial management and effective local governance.
The visit provides an important platform for institutional dialogue, peer learning and the exchange of practical experiences on how local government institutions can improve planning, resource management, accountability and public service delivery. It also offers an opportunity to explore approaches that empower local authorities to respond more effectively to citizens’ needs and accelerate inclusive, sustainable development.
