I'm seeing more and more people uninstalling Fortnite and choosing their mental health, and honestly, I'm all for it 🫶🏻 🫂 As someone with AuDHD, this entire pirate token hunt has been mentally and emotionally exhausting. It's not even fun anymore. And before anyone says "just don't play", pls understand that it's easier said than done when FOMO and the way these systems are designed can make disengaging incredibly difficult 😞 The mini-season has barely been out for a few days, yet people are already sacrificing sleep, school and their free time because they feel compelled to grind for rewards!!! And can we talk about the whole "we hear you" and "Fortnite is about community" messaging? At some point, those words need to translate into actual decisions 💁🏼‍♀️ Year after year, Fortnite seems to struggle to secure community recognition in gaming awards, yet we're constantly told how much the community matters. Add Tim Sweeney's AI campaign to the conversation, and there's an increasingly uncomfortable disconnect between what players value and what Epic chooses to prioritise. A game should be entertainment, not another source of exhaustion, pressure and anxiety. There's a HUGE difference between keeping players engaged and exploiting their fear of missing out. Maybe it's time Epic started listening to the community rather than just telling us how much they care about it~ just saying
