Congratulations to Firefighter Garrett Ryan who celebrates 7 years with CFPD today. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our community.

Whether greeting our citizens with a smiling face or working hard to ensure that our office is in order, we appreciate all that the Admin Team does for CFPD. Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

As the weather gets nicer and the grass gets greener, many will be pulling out the mowers and trimmers. Remember when refueling any small motor to ensure that the motor has cooled prior to adding fuel. Spilled fuel can easily ignite and cause serious burns.

Prevent fires by being safe with common chemicals used in the garage. Store oily and solvent-wet rags in a tightly sealed metal container and then discard them.

Today we congratulate Firefighters Keith Hill and Jamie Faust who are celebrating 27 years with CFPD. Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment to our community!

Fire crews from Cottleville and @CentralCounty rescued two residents from their beds at fire at Harvester Residential Care early this morning. One resident was transported to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters. The fire was controlled quickly by crews. xitter.gq/RogueRunnerSTL/status/…

As you prepare your spring cleaning list, don't forget to include cleaning your gutters. When clearing, keep your leaves and branches pile 10 feet or more from your home.

Many schools in our community are on Spring Break or it is right around the corner. If you are travelling it is important to review your hotel's evacuation plan. Find the closest exits to your room and talk to your family about what you would do if there was a fire.

Congratulations to Firefighter Matt Kempker on celebrating 13 years with CFPD. Thank you for your service and dedication to our community.

It happens to the best of us, sometimes we forget about Daylight Savings and end up being late for plans. Don't let that stop you from changing your smoke detector batteries. Take time to replace your batteries today! #DaylightSavings #SmokeDetectorsSaveLives

Happy #NationalGirlScoutDay! On this day in 1912, Girl Scouts was officially registered as an organization in Savannah, Georgia. Happy Birthday and we look forward to the day we can have our local troops visit again. #GirlScouts #Community #WeLoveTheToopsAndTheCookies

Daylight Savings begins this weekend. Before you go and buy batteries, check your detectors to ensure that they do not need to be replaced too. Smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years. Find the date that the detector was made by looking on the back of the detector.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay to the strong women of #CFPD and all those that make the Cottleville Community so great!
