After lost decades of corruption, waste, and incompetence, nothing illustrates Uganda’s decline (or even slow-motion-collapse) than the fact that officialdom now sees mainly ONE SOURCE as the answer to all the nation’s economic problems; it’s long-suffering workers’ pile of savings in the National Social Security Fund ( NSSF)! When that too has been eaten, then true hell will break out. We ain’t seen nothing yet.

No, Jimmy, when you start a fire, and put it off later, you dont need to call yourself a hero.

I agree with you Frank, but how do you think they learn this? This is what they see on our screens every single day because it has become acceptable and so normal for adults to unscrupulously denigrate, disparage and ridicule others on TV , national TV and other platforms. In other countries , some presenters would be forced to apologise publicly, resign , ( if not sued)or a particular show would be discontinued.
Wano ewaffe, buli kimu kiyita….
What exactly is this Nsangi Secondary School teaching or promoting by exposing students to content that ridicules people’s brands and the hard work they’ve put into building them? Then posting on their own tiktok page?? Is this the kind of conduct our schools should be encouraging?
@Educ_SportsUg , is this acceptable? I don’t think so! The school should take down the content and issue a public apology. Education should instil discipline, respect and responsibility, not encourage students to ridicule the efforts of others.

If you've worked in media, you know that phrasing, tonality and framing matter just as much as the facts being reported.
There's a negative stereotype that some international media coverage seems determined to reinforce when it comes to Uganda.
We're entitled to ask why.

I have come back to this headline almost 50 times. The fact that it is not on their Africa page but their main page. The sensational language, the provocative comparison. Knowing the authority Bloomberg has and its power to affect investment decisions. This is an economic hit piece.
Uganda is tapping its nearly $7 billion in reserves to lessen the blow of a plunging shilling, which is the world’s second-worst-performing currency this month after Iraq’s dinar. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Rising crime rates is an early warning that economic pressure is deepening. Expect them to be more brazen than ever before. Tusaba gavumenti etuyambe, kubanga!

What in the double faced hypocrisy is this? You’re part of the very system that plunged this country into this mess and now you want to act concerned? Y’all allegedly paid Tyrese over $1M to promote coffee in Ntungamo barely a month ago. Please spare us the fake patriotism

So, the former deputy Chief of Defence Force, Gen. Elwelu is now a "wanted man", & there is a possibility that Rwandan rebels can sneak into Uganda, kill a person & disappear without trace - because a Ugandan General is arrested by Uganda?!
Strange times, but this is Uganda...

His solution for every problem in Uganda is an intervention by the first family especially MK.... just listen to him on the bad natives show.
Was agreeing with most of what M9 was saying about the issues in the electricity sector until his closing remark was suggesting MK intervenes
