The refusal of @MikeRogersForMI to concede or even mention Abdul in his "we lost" post is a sign of the rot of the GOP. He was in congress for decades, he used to have at least some appreciation for public service norms. What a massive loser.
“When Ramaswamy has more dignity than you do, it says something.” @AbdulElSayed, speaking to me in DC today, reveals Mike Rogers never called him to concede, let alone congratulate. My full interview with AES on his victory and his future plans: zeteo.com/p/abdul-el-sayed-t…

Just landed in DC and the first thing we heard on public radio was an excerpt from The View interview with Michigan’s Senator elect Abdul El-Sayed. Things will never be the same 🥺😤

I’m Jewish. I’m proud. And I have been working my ass off as the Co-Executive Director of Fighting for Michigan PAC, the IE for @abdulelsayed that beat back over $45M in AIPAC spending. That’s it. I’m in awe of my friend Abdul, and I’m so, so hopeful about our future.

This feels like the Selzer Iowa poll in 2024 all over again and I know the conditions are completely different but I’m just so traumatized

“None of this matters,” says Abdul El-Sayed, next to Jim Clyburn. El-Sayed, who is being hounded by a swarm of national reporters, says he doesn’t think about U.S. Haley Stevens.

El-Sayed: I have a sense that you all are here today because of the decisions of somebody who's not here right now. I'm just going to tell you, this is a state of 10 million people who deserve a lot better from their government. I'm a lot more focused on the 9,999,998 that are not the ones you guys are talking about I'm not in the business of driving clicks for you. I'm in the business of trying to solve problems for the people of my state

Proud to be a Dingell Democrat 💅🏻
Debbie Dingell is such a fascinating figure in Michigan politics. She was her late husband Big John's closest advisers. She was screaming like her hair was on fire that Hillary Clinton might lose in Michigan (and she was mocked) and now she's an enforcer in the party.

Hey in case anyone's waffling here. Keep Mike Rogers far, far away from the US Senate.
🚨 BREAKING: Mike Rogers confirmed in a new interview that he would vote for a national abortion ban: "I've been very open about that time I was in Congress, having a 100% pro-life rating... This is the only way that I know how to be when I go back to the United States Senate."

Abdul El-Sayed: “We are being actively bullied by the dumbest people in the room. Donald Trump is an idiot. He has one genius which is getting attention. Because his dad never gave him enough, because he was a nepo baby, he craved attention and used the bullying tactics to get it. But the man is an idiot. Just a fool”
