Album Review Fleetwood DeVille - tha perfect intersection fleetwooddeville.bandcamp.co… Fleetwood DeVille is an artist I cam across from Twitter and his personality there first. Then recently this album tha perfect intersection. came across my way and I had to give it a shot as I continue to check out artists I see more on Twitter than IG. Tha perfect intersection is an out of the box album and one I enjoyed quite a bit! First of all, this is a project filled with different songs, but it’s plays out as one 44 minute long track. what god made/words from 'Rap' & ogun/conscious struggle are the first two songs that span a few minutes and started to make me think this was going to be instrumental, and I was into it lol. Between the music and the clips being used I was already into things, and then freon [Black Banditti] starts around the 6 minute mark and Fleetwood DeVille starts rapping and even getting some singing off in the background and immediately pulled me in. I will say that the mixing seems just a bit off but that might be intentiaonal. Regardless, I found a lot of enjoyment in this album and its twists and turns. The transitions throughout this album are great and that’s what you’d want from a “1 track” type of project. Only once or twice did a song transition and it didn’t feel as smooth as the rest of tha perfect intersection. Fleetwood DeVille brings rapping and singing across a wide body of sounds that range from Hip-Hop to Jazz and even a space Jazz type of style at times. Very interesting, unique and good! oldage/pre-natal featuring Iceberg Theory was probably my least favorite track through the project, but most of the album o was happy to press play and let it ride through. This is a little rough around the edges at times but I don’t mind. I can see the talent and skill that Fleetwood DeVille has shining through and now I’m looking forward to hearing more, either past releases or future. This is out now on Bandcamp so go support and enjoy this journey!

After Ice announced that Lil Durk was acquitted, most of the cast applauded, except Marc. Flip asked why he wasn't clapping. Marc explained he was glad Durk wasn't found guilty, but applauding him is different, given the rumors surrounding him. "What if this was Assata Shakur?" Flip countered. Marc pushed back, asking if he was seriously comparing the two. Marc clarified he isn't rooting against Durk, but argued we don't need to applaud someone just for beating the feds. Ice chimed in that people are simply happy to see a Black man beat the system, comparing it to how Black people felt when O.J. was acquitted. Marc admitted he applauded O.J. back then too, but insisted Black people need to be honest that figures like O.J. or Durk don't represent the best of us, so we shouldn't glorify them for beating the system. Joe added that he agrees with Marc, especially now that he's older.
