The Guardian, Eduardo Porter: “Getting them to share with the rest of society, to fund redistribution or pay for public goods, is proving pretty much impossible. Their ability to move resources around, hide profit across jurisdictions, and minimize income to hoard wealth until they die appears to put them beyond the reach of taxation.”
The Guardian, Eduardo Porter: “One per cent of Americans at the apex of the economy are hoarding over 31% of the nation’s total wealth, a cool $55tn in net worth.”
And woe betide anybody who asks them to make a fair and easily affordable contribution to their community.
The Washington Post: “How Trump and his allies are sowing doubt ahead of the midterms.
A Post analysis found thousands of messages from right-wing influencers pushing new theories for why, if Democrats win, the elections can’t be trusted.”
Trump’s democracy is OK as long as he wins.
My support is with Carrick. The players don’t seem to be interested.
MEN, Wayne Rooney: “I'd love to go in that dressing room, walk in that dressing room and say, 'what the f*** are you all doing?' What type of performances do you think this is? Do you think you deserve to wear the shirt? Put a f***ing firework up their arse because they're not doing anything."
They seem to be interested in the money but not Manchester United.
That shows what a simple, infantile and uninformed idiot we have in the most powerful position in our world.
The Guardian, Steve Bloomfield: “In 10 days, Donald Trump will enter his own twilight zone. He is almost certain to lose control of the House and it’s not impossible he will face a Democratic Senate too. Any hopes of passing domestic policy – not that he’s bothered with that much during his first two years – will disappear. Instead, he will face a series of investigations that could lead, once again, to impeachment.
On the world stage, however, it will be a different story. And unlike Bush senior, Clinton and Obama, his ambitions won’t be peaceful. The first two years of his second term have been catastrophic; the final two could be even worse.”
The Guardian: “For too long, it (Trump) argued, America’s allies had “suck[ed] us into conflicts and controversies central to their interests but peripheral or irrelevant to our own”.
For Putin, this is a success almost three decades in the making. He has long viewed American support for democracy in eastern Europe and central Asia as “interference” in Russia’s backyard. Now he has a US president who agrees. Trump has also placed Putin on a far higher pedestal than Russia’s economy and its technological prowess deserves.”
Putin could rule America without stepping on its soil. All that he needs is an egotistical, narcissistic buffoon. One who he can control, instruct and rely upon to carry out his orders. A person who is so foolish that he can be manipulated without knowing it because he believes that Putin’s ‘suggestions’ are his own policies. He needs a person who is convinced that he is magnificent and will be recognized as such in American history.
That’s all that he needs.

Trump just said the quiet part out loud:
He doesn’t “give a damn” about higher gas prices, as long as his billionaire friends are making a fortune.
Trump doesn’t tell the truth very often, but he did last night!
