My problem is I get bored painting the same subject matter, in the same media, in the same style, over and over and over again, and the only way to really make it as an artist is to paint the same subject matter, in the same media, in the same style, over and over and over again.

The idea that the NYC suburbs in Monmouth County, NJ is Phillies country, and the south Jersey county of Ocean is Yankees territory is positively absurd and renders this entire map suspect.
The United States of America has collapsed. Rival MLB teams have taken over. Who are you pledging your allegiance to?

I love that the Brewers' front office drank so much on their first night in Tampa that the hotel bar changed their hours to accommodate them on the second night.
Learned their lesson - bar is open late tonight

Experts say you should wait 60-90 minutes after waking up before drinking coffee. But here’s the thing. No.

trunk or treat is the worst thing to happen to Halloween. you're supposed to run from door to door, stumbling over unfamiliar terrain in the dark with a pillowcase full of candy. not picking it out of the trunk of someone's RAV4 in a parking lot

Brewers fans invading the Trop and drinking all of the surrounding area’s beer. Championship effort all around
Report from Ferg’s that will make Brewers fans laugh: The owner tells me that yesterday, they went through 1,000 cases of Miller and Coors Light, which is a MONTH’S worth of beer!! A month of beer in one day. If you were wondering if they like beer in Wisconsin, they do! 😅

The only names I recognize here are the two chicks from Stranger Things and John Pomeroy, who's not only a great instagram follow (lots of old Bluth and Disney pencil tests, among others) but is also doing great work keeping the medium alive with his Pomeroy Art Academy.
The “Drawing Prada” ad campaign (starring Chen Haoyu, Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, Kelvin Harrison Jr. & Luther Ford) is directed by legendary animation director John Pomeroy & features hand drawn animation. In an age of AI slop, it’s radical to see a return to fine form again!

I don’t even care if it’s “IN BRUGES But It’s CIA.” In fact, I hope it’s that. I would watch 27 “IN BRUGES But It’s” movies.

And Smoltz will be openly salty and sulky about it until the day he dies.
27 years ago today, the Yankees defeated John Smoltz en route to a sweep of the Braves and their 12th straight win in the World Series. Take a minute to watch the full game highlights:

Today in 1954, the TV show “Disneyland” premiered on ABC, nine months before the theme park it was promoting opened in Anaheim. In the first episode, “The Disneyland Story,” Walt Disney gave viewers a tour of his studio, revealed plans for the park, and looked back at Mickey Mouse’s career. At a time when Hollywood feared TV would keep audiences at home, Disney used it to bring them somewhere else IRL. The hour-long series became ABC’s first program to reach the top ten in the Nielsen ratings. There was a business side to the partnership, too. Disney needed money to build the park, and ABC needed programming to compete with NBC and CBS. In exchange for helping finance Disneyland, ABC received a 35% ownership stake in the park. Forty one years later, in 1995, Disney announced it was buying ABC itself.

Oh, for fucking fuck's sake.
HBO is officially developing ‘THE BIRDS’, a new series inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's film. Starring Sarah Snook, the series is a modern-day reimagining of the film set in Alaska with a murder mystery at the center. (Source: Deadline)

I think the World Series this year is proving 2 things. 1) this Brewers team is historically good. I don't think any team in the last decade could beat them.....including the Dodgers title teams. 2) MLB has to move the Rays out of Tampa. It's pathetic. The population of that city does not give a shit. They are in the World Series and it felt like a Brewers home game. It's an embarassment to the sport. #MLB

The best parts of “STAGE” are seeing the joy on David’s face. He is smiling and laughing throughout. There are moments where the band will go off, and we follow David to the side of the stage, and he’s just so full of life and engaged. Dancing when no one can see him but you. It’s a celebration of art, life, and creativity.

Happy anniversary to Schulz and Melendez's Halloween classic, which made its debut 60 years ago tonight!
Happy early Halloween, everybody! Here's a new painting celebrating the 60th anniversary of "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", one of the all-time great holiday specials. This was fun, one of my favorite holiday pieces yet. Original and prints available. Pls RT and share!

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing. Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed. What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community. At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades. That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him. My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.
