About $5.0B left Binance hot wallets in under an hour today, across Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Tron How it started: at 4:20 PM ET, an outside wallet attached code (EIP-7702) to a Binance Ethereum hot wallet. Three minutes later it swept 63 tokens out in one transaction, including 1.6B USDT and 167K ETH. A second Binance hot wallet sent 28K ETH to the same address, signed with its own key. In the same few minutes, 18,270 BTC and 613M USDT on Tron also moved to new wallets Where it stands: Tether and Circle have frozen about $2.1B, including $313M USDT on Tron. Nothing has gone to Tornado Cash. About $718M in ETH and about $500M in USDT are still free to move, and 17,270 BTC sits untouched.

User funds are safe! It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m). I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.
