There’s a reason I have stayed away from the Toluwanisings funeral controversy , but this excuse from his wife is completely difficult to understand.
You can live in your husband’s mansion, use his cars, enjoy his properties and benefits from his bank accounts, but you cannot bear to see the grave of the man you shared a life with? Make it make sense!.
In my opinion the reason for this refusal is because she’s planning to sell that property in future, with the grave there it might affect the resale value.
You want to remain comfortable with everything he left behind but you can’t stand to see his grave?
If the man’s memory is unbearable, why is everything attached to his legacy still acceptable?.
This Toluwanisings matter is really becoming messy and muddy.
So apparently, the wife’s mother lives with them in their porsche house while his own biological father lives in a mud house in his village in Ikirun.
How can you abandon your own father in the village while your mother in-law lives and enjoys life under your roof?? Make it make sense.
Now I understand why they are insisting on not burying the man in the house. May untimely death not be the price of our foolishness.

Sting Operation at Applewood Estate and Matters Arising
Operatives of the Lagos Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, October 26, 2026 carried out a sting operation at Applewood Estate, Orchid Road, Lekki, Lagos State, to apprehend suspected cybercrime fraudsters obtaining money from unsuspecting victims through gift cards, crypto currencies and international money transfers by impersonating several individuals.
The operation, carried out by 5am, yielded the arrest of twenty-one(21) suspected cybercrime fraudsters and five exotic cars. The fraudsters were apprehended professionally owing to diligent pre-arrest surveillance and reconnaissance of the activities of the fraudsters. A young lady that stood in the way of the operation by making telephone calls to alert the fraudsters was held and her phone confiscated until the conclusion of the operation. The phone was later released to her.
Preliminary investigations of the arrested suspects indicted nineteen(19) of them while the remaining two have been released.
All the indicted suspects will be arraigned in court immediately.
While the EFCC continues its crusade and operational dynamics against economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption, the public is enjoined to keep faith with it and loudly condemn the activities of fraudsters bringing the nation to disrepute.
The Sting Operation at Applewood Estate was professionally carried out, with no record of harassment, intimidation or unlawful arrest of anyone. The Commission is open to constructive engagement by well-meaning Nigerians but blackmailers and alarmists will not be allowed to sabotage its mandate.

In a world cup year, Kane won ballon d'or without winning either WC or UCL.
He crashed out in semi final in both.
I hope we can rest this argument about WC and/or UCL trophy automatically determining best player in the world.
Spain won WC but they didn't have a standout player of ballon d'or level. It was a team thing. Yamal that was their ballon d'or material did not contribute exceptionally to it. Rodri had a great WC but an average season (+ injury) before then.
PSG won UCL but Kvara was their best player. Not Dembele. Mbappe in Real Madrid was the HGS in UCL.
In my view, Mbappe is the other player that would have equally deserved this. HGS in league, UCL and WC. Also crashed out of WC in semi like Kane's England, but didn't even reach semi final of UCL like Bayern and did not at least win the domestic league like Kane.
This doesn't mean UCL and WC trophies don't count, but if your individual contribution to that trophy is not exceptional, it becomes difficult.
Voters see all these.
And that was why I argued while WC was going on that if France won that WC, Mbappe, rather than Dembele, would win ballon d'or. Mbappe was the bigger contributor to France run in WC, and PSG winning UCL would not count much for Dembele because he wasn't the biggest contributor to PSG winning UCL. Mbappe without even UCL finished ahead of him anyway.

Under Sections 4 and 5 of the Ondo State Competition & Consumer Protection Agency Law, 2026, ODCCPA is legally empowered to protect consumers, investigate complaints, tackle fake and substandard products, promote fair competition, educate the public, ensure redress, and enforce compliance with the law. Please, let your PhD education reflect in your public engagement. A little research before commenting publicly would go a long way.

I have personally received several complaints about fake drinks allegedly being sold in lounges, clubs and hotels across Ondo State, raising serious concerns about public health and consumer safety. Since assuming office as Chairman of the Ondo State Competition and Consumer Protection Agency (ODCCPA), I have prioritised public awareness and consumer education to ensure people understand the Ondo State Government’s position against the production, distribution and sale of fake, counterfeit, adulterated and substandard products. However, awareness alone is not enough. We must engage stakeholders, encourage compliance and take action where violations are established. The ODCCPA has invited the association of lounge and club owners to a meeting scheduled for next week to address these concerns and work towards a common front against fake drinks and other unsafe or substandard products. Consumer protection is not negotiable. We will continue to educate, engage and collaborate, but the Agency will not shy away from enforcing the law where necessary.The health and safety of the people of Ondo State come first. No business interest should be placed above the lives of consumers.
