Today’s very special Vampire of the day is the water deer, also known as the vampire deer! They’re native to China and Korea, with slight differences between the two subspecies. They use the canines in aggressive encounters as a weapon against rival males.

Today’s Cryptid of the Day is the Beast of Busco from Churubusco, Indiana. He is affectionately known as Oscar (after the first person to discover it), and is is a giant snapping turtle. Oscar is honored in the turtle days festival each June.
