What we learned reading 1,941 job postings at 24 crypto employers on October 1: 16 were crypto tax jobs. 0.8%.
Nine handle the employer's own corporate tax. Six handle customer tax reporting. One does corporate tax plus DAC8.
Pay was posted for six of the 16 openings. The largest US dollar figure: Robinhood's tax operations manager, up to $165,000 base.
In the first half of 2026, Hong Kong held 4.2% of active crypto job postings, level with the UK. Before you spend a weekend on an application there, check it's real.
On October 1, more than 500 of the 842 Hong Kong listings on web3.career were a year old or more.
Check 3: know your visa route before the first call.

The number that gets quoted: stablecoin and payments companies hold 13.4% of crypto job postings.
What's inside it: 392 postings. Tether has 224 and @Ripple 104. Two employers, 83.7%.
Posted base pay on October 1: $140,000 to $285,600 across five employers, median midpoint $203,741.
Solidity earns a premium at Rain. At Bridge (@stablecoin), smart contract and general software engineers post the same $190,400 to $285,600.
