OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites.
Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors.
Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact.
This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare.

moments like this make me so happy i quit perps trading
i have only one perps position open, and it's a 2x on an extremely bottomed-out alt that's extremely hard to hunt
ironically, i've outperformed the version of myself that mostly traded perps since i started trading almost exclusively onchain
and i think i'll outperform myself by an even wider margin heading into the bull run, GOD willing
perps is an instrument designed by sophisticated market actors to transfer wealth mostly from greedy, impatient traders into their own pockets
if there's ONE thing i'd recommend you reconsider this cycle, it's perps
you don't need more leverage
you need more time in the market

something interesting has been happening around $NEAR these past few weeks.

but the holder count isn’t even the interesting part.
the mob has now distributed 320K+ $NEAR back to holders through trading fees.
that’s real NEAR flowing back into a community built around a meme.
then things got even more interesting.

NEAR has acknowledged the Nearkat mascot narrative.
NearKat has been showing up around NEAR AI.
and all of this happened while NEAR itself was having one of its biggest activity periods.

so I don’t think the NearKat story is simply “a meme coin on NEAR.”
