The peak of this bull cycle will likely be driven by institutional money and ETFs outside the US.
Korea still has no spot Bitcoin ETF, retail can't buy foreign ones, and companies can't even open exchange accounts to buy BTC.
So far this has been a US adoption story, but the next phase is global institutionalization with deeper stablecoin liquidity and RWA rails.
More institutions will hold BTC as a strategic asset, and access will improve in the many countries that still lack ETFs.
This cycle's top might be when a banker at a regional bank in Korea recommends a spot Bitcoin ETF to a granny for her savings.

For the first time since the October 2025 ATH, Bitcoin demand has turned positive in both spot and perpetual futures.
The scale remains modest, but if this holds for another month, it would be reasonable to conclude that the bear market is over and a new bull cycle has begun.

Bitcoin total demand entered into contraction yesterday, after growing since early March driven by speculative demand (perpetual futures).
Speculative demand growth (blue bars) peaked as prices approached $80K and has since slowed down significantly, while spot demand (grey bars) is contracting slightly faster.

Open interest is rising, but on-chain apparent demand remains net negative despite ETF inflows and Saylor buys.
Historically, bear markets end when both spot and futures demand recover.

Bitcoin Spot Flows Look Calm - Maybe Too Calm
To smooth out short-term noise, I applied a 15D MA to spot inflows, outflows, and the LTH/STH SOPR ratio.
It filters out daily volatility and shows the real structural trend of liquidity.
Here’s what it reveals:
~18K BTC leaving exchanges vs ~16K coming in - a mild net outflow, but far from what you’d call “strong accumulation.”
Meanwhile, price stays above $100K, and the LTH/STH SOPR ratio (≈1.67) - which reflects long-term holders’ realized profit relative to short-term holders - keeps drifting lower.
LTH aren’t selling, short-term traders aren’t buying - it’s a liquidity stalemate.
So what’s holding price this high?
Not fresh capital from the spot side - but paper liquidity from derivatives and ETF-linked exposure.
P.S. Observation, not a signal.
Quiet flows don’t always mean strength - sometimes they just mean real liquidity stepped aside 🧸
