Why did BTC go up? An ascending triangle is bullish. When it confirmed the pattern, alt/BTC traders moved fast into USD/BTC. This caused a reaction of alt/BTC stops to trigger. That caused margin shorts to squeeze and a bigger domino effect. TA is art/science, not magic.
