Happy to share that @bitrefill is the lead sponsor for my Devcon 8 coverage in Mumbai🇮🇳
Their support keeps independent crypto conversations going, and I’m grateful to have them back for a second event.
You can also find them co-hosting the Free Society Hackathon and afterparty with @Zcash and @joinwebzero during Devcon week.

I spoke with @bajpaiharsh244 from @Zcash about what it will take to make shielded payments practical for everyday use.
We discussed the work toward faster payments, the potential for businesses to build payroll, merchant payments and private stablecoins on zcash:native, and what it would take to move beyond being a place to hold funds to a place to spend them.
We also discussed Zcash’s plans for quantum-resistant cryptography👇

Ethereum has spent its first decade proving that a decentralized network can operate at global scale.
I asked @ethereumJoseph what he thinks the next decade is really about, and what @ethereum needs to become as adoption expands beyond the crypto industry👇

I spoke with @EliBenSasson from @Starknet about quantum resistance, Ethereum’s shift toward proof-based verification, and Starknet’s potential role in connecting Bitcoin and Ethereum.
We also discussed private payments on smartphones and how STARK proofs could help verify AI computations as agents begin handling real transactions👇

I sat down with @wellsda2 CEO of @OndoPerps to discuss where financial markets could be heading as trading moves increasingly onchain.
We covered the implications of 24/7 markets, onchain derivatives, liquidity and leverage.
A few questions I explored:
> Could “market hours” eventually disappear for global investors?
> Could perpetual markets become a primary way to express views on traditional assets?
> What happens when trading collateral itself can generate yield?
> And could 24/7 derivatives become an important source of price information before traditional markets even open?
We also discussed what still needs to be solved before onchain derivatives can support the scale and sophistication of major institutional markets.
A look at how the architecture of financial markets could evolve 👇 – at Singapore

‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor.
The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication.
Revolut later concluded they were not authentic.
Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history.
The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators.
It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers.
ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

Glamsterdam targets L1 throughput across three consecutive layers.
> ePBS (EIP-7732) moves block building into the protocol. Validators stop trusting off-chain relays and pick directly from builder bids submitted at the protocol level.
> BALs (EIP-7928) enforce access lists at the block level so transactions can execute in parallel instead of one at a time. The builder declares every address and storage slot touched, and clients use that map to parallelize execution.
> Gas repricings (EIP-7981 & EIP-8037) close data and state growth exploits. EIP-7981 prices access list data at 64 gas per byte, killing the old EIP-2930 block size exploit and making transaction-level access lists economically obsolete once BALs exist. EIP-8037 raises state creation costs so higher gas limits don’t cause runaway state growth.
ePBS and BALs each stand on their own.
Only when these three are improved together can ethereum:native credibly target a much higher gas limit(aligned on a ~200M floor post-Glamsterdam) without compromising verification speed, node requirements, or long-term state growth.

This is one of the reasons why exchange listings are no longer exciting or bullish!
Still most holders wants their tokens to get listed on an exchanges but that also means, it is the top for 75% of the tokens!
Are we just looking for exit liquidity?
How much would you lose if you bought a newly listed token on the top 10 exchanges in the past 1 year(median loss):
Exchanges had 2,558 listings, the median token is down from its listing price on every single one.
> Coinbase, 122 listings with a median loss of 51%
> OKX, 56 listings with a median loss of 51%
> MEXC, 888 listings with a median loss of 64%
> Bybit, 120 listings with a median loss of 66%
> Kraken, 272 listings with a median loss of 66%
> Bitget, 232 listings with a median loss of 71%
> Crypto com, 71 listings with a median loss of 73%
> Binance, 81 listings with a median loss of 74%
> Gate, 423 listings with a median loss of 75%
> KuCoin, 293 listings with a median loss of 80%
No exchange in the dataset breaks a 25% positive listing rate.
A total of 511 positive listings have been made across 2558 listings.
On the best performing exchange, 3 out of 4 listed tokens are still below their listing price.
The data covers median outcomes only. Individual tokens vary significantly in both directions.

When all the DeFi protocols are bleeding TVL, @sparkfinance is actually attracting TVL during this period.
My reasons: It has deep stablecoin liquidity, no restaking exposure and no cross-chain bridge dependencies.
Spark Protocol TVL went from $7B to $8.4B+ in under 3days.
> $SPK is up 50%+ in the same window.
> $600M came in a single day.
> Justin Sun moved $170M in USDC and USDT alone.
This is what a DeFi flight-to-quality rotation looks like in real time.
Capital did not leave the ecosystem, it repriced risk and moved to wherever it felt safer. Spark sits inside the @SkyEcosystem (formerly MakerDAO).
The architecture that looked boring two weeks ago is exactly what risk-averse capital is looking for right now.
The broader DeFi drama this month has done one thing clearly, it has separated protocols by perceived trust tier.
Whether the TVL holds depends on whether the fear holds but the rotation is real, the numbers confirm it.

Ethereum's global settlement layer proposes a new block every 12 seconds.
For institutional capital, that's a problem and liquidity doesn't wait 12 seconds to settle.
Strawmap's plan is to reduce it to 2-second block times.
Resulting in faster production & finality.

Ethereum's next hard fork is called Glamsterdam. The first generalized devnet launches next week.
Here's what it actually changes:
> ePBS (EIP-7732), moves block building from off-chain MEV relays directly into the protocol. Reduces trust assumptions, improves decentralization of block production, and addresses MEV-related centralization.
> Block-Level Access Lists (EIP-7928) & gas repricing enables more efficient, predictable execution and lays groundwork for parallel transaction processing.
> 60M gas limit target, baseline is 60M, but devnets are stress-testing significantly higher limits. The gas repricing work in this fork is what makes those increases sustainable rather than dangerous.
Each upgrade adds a layer of infrastructure most users will never directly see.
Every DeFi protocol, L2, and dApp depends on it anyway.
