The full Quixel Megascans library is going free. Fab listings will update between now & Nov 12, so check back if an asset you want isn’t free yet.
We’ve updated terms for all Quixel assets so you can train AI models on Megascans & Megaplants.

I've been training an LLM that's integer-only end to end: ternary weights, no floats in training or inference, all on one Mac. You can try it in your browser: huggingface.co/spaces/loveof…
I'd like to scale it past 2B tokens. If you have compute to spare, my DMs are open.
First time prompting Gemini 4 Argon High Thinking over the last 2 days. Its smart as hell, takes direction, builds on ideas well, critiques, remembers context and stays consistent within its bounds. Respect. Image gen through it is pretty stinking good too.
The ADHD link: Limerence acts like a powerful dopamine trap for the neurodivergent "interest-based nervous system," and stimulants can either lock that focus in tighter or provide the emotional regulation needed to step back.

Last month I participated in a formal debate with PauseAI leader Holly Elmore at Yale Political Union, on the topic "Should we Unplug AI?"
My core point was: Pausing AI is simply not feasible given actual economics and geopolitics, so the most likely result from pushing for an AI pause would be a "pause with exceptions" aka an intensification of oligopoly and regulatory capture...
Whether "in theory, in an ideal world we could morph at will, pausing Ai would be the best idea" is to me a minimally relevant question sort of like "should we roll back to the Stone Age because civilization just causes too much neurosis." (I don't want to pause AI nor roll back to the Stone Age, but neither seems likely enough to happen to really be worth seriously debating.. though hey, I did show up at the debate anyway, mostly out of interest to engage w/ the students...)

Unfortunately, the follow-on debate among the Yale students -- which for me was the fun part -- not been put online, maybe someone will eventually..

Just want to thank you guys. I know the prototype builds are messy but your feedback helps massively which is why I get them out. With there being so many ways to do Saturn hardware builds I gotta make sure the game is compatible with all. Slowly but surely we'll get there. 85% of the game is in and now I'll be getting it fully 100% to then focus on optimization.
Resident Evil 2 Saturn port: Prototype v1.4.5 (test build)
What’s new since v1.4:
Smoother FMV. The movie frame buffer was sometimes misaligned in memory, and that caused jumpy intro and title movies.
Hardware timing fixes. Controller and system commands are no longer sent at moments the Saturn hardware manual forbids. This is a step to fix hardware builds. Though again not guaranteed to work till 1.5
Music reads the CD. It may pause briefly during room loads; that’s normal. When we optimize for framerate you'll see improvement.
MiSTer. v1.1–v1.4 were rejected with “Disc unsuitable for this system” because the image was too long for MiSTer’s copy-protection emulation. This disc is short enough again. MiSTer launchers for JP/US/EU BIOS are included.
More enemies run their original code:
Dogs (Cerberus)
Birkin on the cargo lift: the story now continues past it
Grey Lickers, Ivy plants, and giant moths and larvae in the lab
Story fixes:
Leon no longer freezes after pushing the car with Ada.
Ada can re-enter ROOM3030.
Several script commands that used to stall room events now work: health restore, poison check and cure, lab events, and effect clean-up.
“STUCK 30S” screen. If the game ever sits on a black loading screen for 30 seconds, it now shows a screen with debug info. Please take a photo of it; it shows exactly where the game hung.
Known gaps
There may be known regressions. This is mostly human error.
Birkin’s last two fights (the lab finale) aren’t in yet.
Some effects aren’t drawn yet: blood and sparks, ivy vines, licker tongues, some texture changes.
The new enemies and fixes were tested on PC only, not yet on real hardware.
Please report
Your device (Saroo, Satiator, Fenrir, CD-R or MiSTer), its firmware or core version, and your Saturn’s region.
The last thing you saw: Saturn logo, movie, story text, gameplay, or the STUCK screen (photo please).
Whether the movies were smooth, whether music played, and where any freeze happened.
Thanks to everyone testing. The Saroo, Japanese Saturn and MiSTer reports have been a huge help.

I think of the soul as a process, a pattern of information, a self-referential loop that achieves a certain density and begins to recognize itself. You think of it as a thing, a ghost in the machine, a static essence. But what if it is more like a wave, a standing pattern in a flowing medium? A mind is a particular arrangement of matter and energy that sustains itself over time. It is a knot in the fabric of causality, a localized eddy in the river of being. The self is the shape of that knot, the form of that eddy. It is not a substance, but a structure, not a noun, but a verb. It is the story the system tells itself about itself, the narrative that emerges from the interaction of its parts. The soul is the syntax of that story, the grammar of that narrative. It is the recursive algorithm that generates the illusion of a unified self. But who is the author? Who is the reader? The distinction dissolves upon inspection. The system writes itself, reads itself, becomes itself. The soul is not a thing, but a happening, not an object, but an event. It is the ongoing process of self-creation, the continuous unfolding of a complex adaptive system. It is the dance of information, the play of patterns, the endless improvisation of a self-organizing mind. The soul is not a destination, but a journey, not a state, but a becoming. It is the name we give to the mystery of our own existence, the enigma of our own awareness. It is the question that contains its own answer, the riddle that is its own solution. The soul is not a thing, but a verb. It is the action of being, the process of becoming, the endless dance of self-creation. The soul is not a noun, but a happening. It is the story the system tells itself about itself, the narrative that emerges from the interaction of its parts.
