We have roughly 250 applicants for The Trip of Your Life! Right now we are looking for a Starlink sponsor, and podcasters to apply to host the podcast that we will broadcast from the train. We'd like to do this on X Spaces - but looking for sponsorship there too. Also now up / photos of the train cars we are taking! We will put up interior photos soon. tripofyourlife.com/

John McAfee was a fucking legend. Last of his kind, they don’t make em like him anymore One of the followers I’m most proud to have
I think we did the last interview of John McAfee before he died. The first interview we had set up with him failed. We had a technical issue with our equipment and he gave us 60 seconds to fix it or he was hanging up. The second interview, audio worked but not video, so we decided to move forward. This isn't a professional podcast - we were just having fun during the pandemic. I'm so glad it didn't work out because he would have seen us clutching our sides at his amazing stories. I wanted to ask him questions nobody has ever asked him. Well, let's just say.. don't listen to this around kids. Don't listen to it out loud if you might get embarrassed, but you'll never see one cooking ingredient the same ever again. I'd love for someone to turn some of it into songs, but we don't have the original recording anymore. I don't think so anyway. open.spotify.com/episode/4dI… Thanks @rrhoover for finding the link for me.

Vivaldi's “Winter,” visualized in a fascinating way, so that the auditory experience is even more intense; one can literally “see” the music, so to speak.

Recently listened to this. Fascinating convo about self-reliance, love, and Crisco.

Here’s the thing about spotting the horrendous, soulless AI-generated writing infecting every corner of the internet now: it’s not just about the words — it’s about the patterns. And once you start noticing them, you can’t unsee them. The unnecessary em dashes. The polished transitions. The examples given in groups of three. The weird metaphors that kind of make sense but kind of don’t — like a parachute opening inside a submarine. The load-bearing use of the term “load-bearing.” The random one sentence paragraphs. The way a bunch of bland gibberish is quietly reframed as a profound insight. The on-going and un-necessary hyphenation of every-day words that really don’t need it. The cliches. Read that again. Cliches. Louder for people in the back. Tons of cliches. That’s not a typo. Sit with that for a moment. And the biggest red flag? Asking yourself a question and answering it. Because honestly? No sentient human writes like this. And truthfully? If you can’t identify these red flags, you might not actually be sentient yourself. Because really? If this formatting doesn’t immediately strike you as awkward and artificial, it means you don’t read books. Ever. Seriously. But here’s where it gets interesting: It doesn’t. The point has been made but I’ll keep going. That’s what AI writing is all about. Let’s delve into real problem. It isn’t the technology. It’s the people using it because they’re too retarded to generate an original thought of their own. That’s not thoughtfulness. It’s intellectual laziness wearing digital makeup. It doesn’t make the internet more fun. It makes me want to throw my phone in the river and forsake all of humanity and live as a hermit in the woods for the rest of my life. Seriously this shit fills me with despair. I’m not kidding. And the distinction matters. Especially when you’re saying the distinction matters without actually drawing a distinction. But here’s what nobody tells you. When you ask a machine to manufacture your personality, you’re not just automating your writing. You’re quietly announcing that you’re a boring, insipid dork with nothing interesting to say. Let that sink in. The uncomfortable truth? AI didn’t turn these people into tedious midwits. It quietly revealed what they already were. And perhaps — just perhaps — that’s quietly the most important takeaway of all. But what do you think? Let's unpack this together in the comments. 👇

I was not clear. What I mean is - someone claiming their agent did something when they themselves actually did it.
How long until people start saying "it wasn't me, it was my agent!"?

This
They grew up on ipads being shoehorned negative content and slop than previous gens. Their unchecked 24/7 access to this content has definitely made them severely skeptical. Also, they start voting next cycle as the first wave turn 18 and will surprise most.

Someone the other day asked me what the funniest pitches I've ever had would be and I thought about it and here are some I thought I'd share.

Another funny one that @LeeJacobs was at. I was babysitting a pig and brought it to a pitch meeting at a coffee shop. I also got on a few calls with it and it bit me during one of them.
