Ended the week with a sweet visit to Gale Woods Farm with my colleague Cmsr. Anderson. It’s a farm with public education at its root. It’s a great time to check out their workshops, programs and field trips for in-season farm activities! Still not over my time with Finnsheep🐑

I spent some time this week at the SKB Rosemount disposal facility. This landfill site is where all of the ash from the HERC goes to be sorted and buried. As a policymaker rethinking the solid waste ecosystem, we need to see every step of it.

A marvelous article about what @Hennepin is doing to support people experiencing chronic unsheltered homelessness, & their journey to stable housing. Very timely given that I was just in DC with @D7_Anderson & @HennepinDebbie talking about this very work. abcnews.go.com/US/minneapoli…

We planted 15,000 seedling trees at a conservation easement in Independence to protect habitat and enhance our tree canopy. This is part of our plan to plant 1 million trees by 2030 and acquire 6,000 acres of conservation easements by 2040. youtu.be/SAbLd5gzxeY #ClimateAction

This winter was Minnesota's third snowiest season on record. With the snow behind us, we want to give a big thank you to our plow crews for clearing the roads all season. They hit county roads as early as 2 a.m. and made sure our connections were as safe as possible! 👏 #NCGM

The @NACoTweets Legislative Conference closed wonderfully, w/ @JoeBiden (a former county councilor and self professed “county guy”) graciously joining attendees. We also met with both Senators @amyklobuchar and @TinaSmithMN at the County Capitol Hill Day of Action. ✨
