Although various entities utilize on revenue distributions somewhat differently, what they all share in common is further usage of revenue aimed at motivating individual participants to remain active and engaged as well as to contribute for potential mutual benefits.

No wonder it has become a popular feature for NFT collections and DAOs in general - one won't manage to sustain a multi-thousand community without a fair way to incentivize efficient participants in place.
