As per the directions of the Hon’ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, an interaction meeting was conducted with apartment residents and members of the Residential Welfare Associations within the jurisdiction of Yelahanka New Town Police Station, NorthEast Division. During the meeting, discussions were held on local security concerns, crime prevention measures and ways to further strengthen public safety. Residents were advised to ensure adequate security arrangements in apartments, monitor the movement of unknown persons and promptly bring any suspicious activities to the notice of the police. Awareness was also created regarding cybercrime prevention, the importance of immediately reporting online financial fraud by calling the Cyber Crime Helpline 1930, ensuring the safety of children and senior citizens, and contacting Namma 112 in case of emergencies. The residents were given an opportunity to share their concerns, suggestions and feedback. As per the directions of the Hon'ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, Safety awareness meetings were conducted with apartment residents and members of Residential Welfare Associations (RWAs) within the jurisdiction of Kodigehalli, Vidyaranyapura and Devanahalli Police Stations, NorthEast Division. During the meetings, residents were advised on essential home safety measures, including securing doors and windows, ensuring proper locking arrangements while leaving home, installing CCTV cameras, monitoring apartment entry and exit points, and remaining vigilant about unknown persons. With regard to child safety, parents were advised to educate children not to accompany strangers, accept items from unknown persons or disclose personal information, and to seek help from parents or trusted adults in case of any emergency. Regarding women's safety, residents were sensitised to remain alert while interacting with unknown persons, report suspicious activities to the police and contact the emergency helpline 112 whenever immediate assistance is required. Senior citizens were advised not to share OTPs, banking credentials or personal information with unknown callers claiming to be bank officials or representatives of other institutions. They were also advised to verify the identity of visitors before allowing them into their homes. As per the directions of the Hon'ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, Area Domination operation was carried out within the limits of Amruthahalli Police Station, NorthEast Division, to strengthen police vigilance, prevent criminal activities and maintain law and order. Total of 09 police officers and personnel were deployed for the operation. During the drive, 24 suspicious vehicles were inspected and 02 rowdy-sheeters were checked. Further, 04 cases were registered under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), and necessary legal action was initiated. The operation was aimed at strengthening police presence, identifying suspicious activities and ensuring a safe and secure environment for the public. As per the directions of the Hon'ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, a Sub-Beat Meeting was conducted within the jurisdiction of Kothanuru Police Station, NorthEast Division, Bengaluru City Police. During the meeting, the public was sensitised about cybercrimes and online frauds, including the risks associated with calls from unknown persons, suspicious links, fraudulent messages and sharing of OTPs. Awareness was also created about the prevention of drug trafficking and substance abuse, the legal action taken against those involved in the sale and consumption of narcotic substances, and the harmful effects of drug abuse on individual health, families and society. The public was informed about the emergency helpline 112 and encouraged to seek police assistance whenever required. The importance of public cooperation and active participation in crime prevention was also emphasised. As per the directions of the Hon’ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, safety awareness meetings were conducted with apartment residents and Residential Welfare Association (RWA) members within the jurisdiction of Yelahanka Newtown, Amruthahalli and Devanahalli Police Stations, under the NorthEast Division, Bengaluru City Police. During the meetings, awareness was created, particularly among senior citizens, about precautions to be taken to prevent cyber fraud. Residents were advised not to share OTPs, bank account details or personal information with anyone claiming to be a bank official over the phone and to remain vigilant against such fraudulent calls. Further, in the interest of apartment security, residents and RWA members were advised to install CCTV cameras at all entry and exit points and ensure their proper functioning. They were also advised to maintain a record of the name, address, mobile number and purpose of visit of every visitor entering the apartment premises. Security personnel were instructed to verify visitor details and remain vigilant about the movement of unknown or suspicious individuals. Residents were also advised to immediately contact the emergency helpline 112 to seek police assistance in case of any emergency or suspicious activity. Public Awareness and Interaction Meeting was conducted with apartment residents and members of the Residential Welfare Associations within the jurisdiction of Amruthahalli Police Station, NorthEast Division, Bengaluru City Police. During the meeting, an interaction was held with the residents, their grievances and concerns were heard, and they were assured that appropriate action would be taken to address the issues raised. The residents were informed that Area Domination operations are being carried out to enhance police visibility and prevent criminal activities. It was also conveyed that petty cases are being registered as part of these enforcement measures. Residents were advised to immediately contact the emergency helpline 112 or inform the concerned beat officer in case of any emergency or suspicious activity. The importance of complying with the COTPA Act was emphasised. Residents were informed that legal action would be initiated against individuals found smoking in public places. They were also requested to promptly report any instances of tobacco products being sold to minors. Further, residents were advised to bring incidents of noise pollution causing public inconvenience to the notice of the police. An Eye screening camp was organised by Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital at the DCP NorthEast Division Office for the officers and staff of the NorthEast Division, Bengaluru City Police. During the Camp, Doctors conducted eye examinations for the officers and staff and provided necessary medical advice regarding eye health. They were advised not to neglect eye-related problems and to seek medical treatment whenever required. As per the directions of the Hon'ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, Safety awareness programme was conducted for apartment residents and members of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) within the limits of Yelahanka and Devanahalli Police Stations, North East Division. During the programme, residents were advised to ensure mandatory police verification before employing domestic workers, drivers and security personnel. They were also instructed to secure doors, windows and balconies, keep gold ornaments, cash and other valuables in safe locations rather than near windows, and ensure that all doors and windows are properly locked before leaving their homes. Residents were advised to install CCTV cameras at apartment entry and exit points, parking areas, lifts and common areas, and ensure that they remain functional at all times. Awareness was also created regarding maintaining records of visitors, delivery personnel and unknown persons entering the apartment premises, verifying the background of security personnel and restricting unauthorised entry. Further, residents were advised to properly lock their vehicles, avoid leaving valuables inside vehicles, inform neighbours and security personnel when leaving their homes unoccupied for extended periods, and immediately report any suspicious persons or activities to the police. They were also informed to contact the emergency helpline 112 for immediate police assistance in case of any emergency. Pursuant to the directions of Hon'ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, Meetings were organized with apartment residents and Resident Welfare Association (RWA) members within the jurisdiction of Kothanur and Chikkajala Police Stations, NorthEast Division. During the meetings, the importance of strengthening security arrangements in apartment complexes was highlighted. Residents were advised to maintain detailed records of visitors and ensure that police verification and background checks are completed before appointing security personnel. The need to regulate entry and exit, maintain records of vehicle movements, and ensure adequate lighting in common areas was emphasized. Apartment managements were advised to regularly inspect fire safety equipment, keep emergency exit routes accessible, and ensure that emergency communication systems are functioning properly. Residents and security personnel were instructed to promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the police. They were also sensitized about contacting the emergency helpline 112 for immediate police assistance during emergencies. As per the directions of the Hon'ble Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, Meeting was conducted with apartment residents and Resident Welfare Association (RWA) members within the limits of Vidyaranyapura Police Station, NorthEast Division. During the meeting, information was provided on strengthening apartment security measures, including the installation and maintenance of CCTV cameras, ensuring proper security arrangements at entry and exit points, vigilant performance of duties by security personnel, and monitoring the movement of unknown persons. Residents were also advised to take necessary precautionary measures to prevent theft and other crimes and to promptly inform the police about any suspicious persons or activities. Awareness was created regarding the use of the emergency helpline 112 to seek police assistance in emergency situations. Furthermore, information was provided on the Safe Connect facility available in the Karnataka State Police (KSP) App and the Drug Free Karnataka option, which enables citizens to bring information or complaints related to narcotic substances to the attention of the police.
